Joseph Gould

Joseph Gould, Jr. age 68, a native New Orleans, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Beloved and Devoted Husband of Debra Washington Gould. Son of the late Joseph Gould, Sr. and Fannie Raphael Gould. Father of Joseph Gould, III. Grandfather of Joseph Gould, IV.

 

Joseph was a businessman and entrepreneur who lived in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He had consulted with major firms as a specialty-advertising consultant.

 

Joseph was a member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and former member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Also, he had graduated from The University of  Iowa and earned an athlete scholarship as a Collegiate Basketball player at the University of Iowa.  A graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School and an Honorable Mention All-American Basketball Player in the City of New Orleans.

 

Joe Gould was the late husband of Debra Washington Gould and they are the proud parents of an adult son Joseph Gould, III and grandfather of Joseph Gould, IV. 

 

Joe was the author of Brothers Together:  Lessons Learned That Have Anchored Our Souls!  Joe and Debra are the co-authors of Together Making Your Marriage Work from the Start, Real Relationships Require Real Work and their newest book release by Joe and Debra entitled Strength Through the Challenge which was their last collaborative book project together.

 

Joe Gould, Jr. was famously known for his keynote speech “You Can Leave a Legacy or Make an Excuse."
